Mindful Moments in a Busy World

White feather floating against a blue sky

Some days, we’re so busy getting through everything that we don’t realize we haven’t taken a moment for ourselves. Life keeps moving. There’s always one more thing to answer, plan, or take care of. It’s easy to miss what’s happening right in front of us.

That’s why I love small moments of mindfulness. You don’t need a quiet room or a whole hour. You can start wherever you are.

Here are a few things to try:

  • Before you pick up your phone, put your feet on the floor and take one breath.

  • When your thoughts are racing, look around and name three things you can see.

  • Between one thing and the next, ask yourself, What do I need right now?

You might notice the morning light coming through the trees. Your dog resting beside you. Someone you love talking in the next room. Little things you could have missed.

These moments won’t make a busy life disappear. They can help you notice where you are and choose how you want to move into what comes next.

At Wellness New England, we explore simple practices you can bring into real life, at your own pace. If you’d like a place to begin, join a class or book time with me. We’ll find what feels useful for you.
